BInalonan, Pangasinan
A Melting Pot of Cultures and Adventures
Binalonan hosts the first economic zone in Eastern Pangasinan and is an ideal gateway to other destinations in North Luzon, such as Baguio, Manaoag, Hundred Island and Clark. It takes great pride in its reputation as North Luzon’s University Town, Binalonan is as much as an education melting pot as it is a cultural mosaic with Pangasinan, Coridilleran and Ilocano cultures playing a central role in the town’s way of life.
The town’s storied past includes Filipino heroes and icons, most notably novelist and poet Carlos Bulosan whose works are displayed at the Binalonan Corner Stone Museum found inside the University of East Pangasinan.
Step back in history with a tour of the Sto. Nino Parish Church or marvel at the vast Pangasinan landscape from the Mount Paldingan Stations of the Cross in Barangay Santa Catalina.
Of course, no trip is complete without trying the town’s famous banana chips, chichacorn, longganisa and cane vinegar.
